What are some books or authors that you would recommend to our readers?
Frank Herbert and his Dune series of books for the Sci-Fi fans. Stuart Woods has some good drama/crime stuff. I also like Clancy, the classics like Hunt for Red October. Steven King, the Stand and Needful things.
Tell us what you enjoy most about writing [genre].
I write fiction, historical fiction, military/political thrillers and drama. When the work is done and the good-warm feeling feedback comes in. That is my reward and I enjoy it so.
To date, what is your favorite (or most difficult) chapter you have ever written?
That is a hard one as I have a few favorites, but the most unique one is the last Chapter of Bullets and Bandages. I had to end it, come up with the flow into the ending and the words came to me. It turned out great, like a movie when you come to the end and it is also the beginning, they both are the same scene.
Was there anything you had to research for the book?
Of course, the need for research is needed to keep the work realistic and interesting for the readers.
Did you have any say in the cover design?
Yes, I do. As a self-published author, it took some time, but I have a great cover lady. I tell her what it is I'm looking for in my cover, we work together and eventually agree on the design.
Where do you like to write? In a coffee shop? In your home office? On the beach?
I have a desk and PC setup in the spare room. It is a quiet and comfortable place to get lost in my writing.
Do you listen to music while you write? If so, what kind of music do you like to listen to?
Not music usually, it's the TV sound in the background as write.
